5 Things to Know Before You Buy

5 Things to Know Before You Buy

Sourcing decorative stone at scale takes more than picking the right product. Between freight coordination, packaging preferences, and order timing, even seasoned buyers can get tripped up if they miss the fine print.

That’s why we created the Wholesale Stone Solutions FAQ. It’s a quick-reference guide packed with the operational details that matter most to contractors, dealers, and yard managers. Rather than reprinting that information here, we’re highlighting five real-world questions that often cause friction and pointing you straight to the answers.

Whether you’re placing your first order or your fiftieth, it’s worth a three-minute scan.

Not All Pallets Are Packed the Same

If you’ve worked with other suppliers, you might assume all stone shows up the same way. But packaging depends on the type of stone and the size of your order. Some products ship in supersacks. Others are bundled in wirebaskets or bagged in 0.5 to 1.5-ton increments. Knowing what to expect helps you prep your yard, your team, and your end customers.

See the FAQ for packaging types, pallet specs, and how stone is secured.

Pickup Policies Can Save or Cost You

You can arrange a will-call pickup or send in your own truck, but only if it’s scheduled in advance. WSS works hard to keep freight and fulfillment moving quickly, and that means tight coordination at the yard. Early or unscheduled arrivals receive lowest priority

The FAQ outlines exactly how to schedule your pickup.

Storage Fees Are Easy to Avoid If You Plan Ahead

Let’s say your order is ready to go, but your crew is behind schedule or your yard doesn’t have space yet. WSS can hold it for a few days. After 5 to 7 business days, storage fees begin to apply unless you’ve made other arrangements. The good news is that a quick heads-up is all it takes to avoid extra charges.

The FAQ explains how long your order can wait before storage charges kick in.

There Is a Minimum Order, and It Makes Sense

WSS is built for wholesale. That means pricing, fulfillment, and freight are all optimized around volume. Orders below a pallet don’t pencil out. If you’re used to buying by the bag or the bucket, it’s time to scale up.

See the General Information section for order minimums.

Still Have Questions? The FAQ Has the Rest

The WSS FAQ covers a lot more than logistics. You’ll find guidance on how to pay, when to order, what affects turnaround time, and how to reorder quickly through the dealer portal.
